Seven Times

by John and Darlene Clemens/BMI

     Verse 1:
Naaman was a great man from Syria you see, a mighty man of valor but he had leprosy
Then a maid from Israel that waited on his wife Said the prophet of my God can surely save his life
     Verse 2:
So the king of Syria wrote a letter oh so bold, sent Naaman down in a chariot with silver and with gold
The king of Israel said “I’m not God as you can see. I’ll send him to Elisha to heal his leprosy”
     Verse 3:
Elisha sent a messenger to Naaman at his door, go wash in Jordan seven times your flesh will be restored
Then Naaman said in anger “I thought he would stand with me how can this muddy water make me free of leprosy”
     Verse 4:
His servants pleaded “Master do as the prophet said. Just think that what you do today will change the days ahead.”
So he dipped down in Jordan seven times while they looked on he came up shoutin’ praisin’ God his leprosy was gone
     Bridge:
When he washed in the Jordan river like Elisha said
     Chorus:
Not one not two not three times (not one not two not three times)
Not four not five not six times (not four not five not six times)
Seven seven seven seven I said seven times and he shouted look at me I’m healed of leprosy
