I was walkin’ dry and dusty roads when my Lord said to me,
My child, why are you livin’ here when I’ve given you victory?
Your body’s sick and full of pain, your mind is full of fear,
If you were livin’ in My Word you would surely not be here.

I opened up my bible and I began to read,
And sure enough, God’s Word was full of promises to me,
I prayed, forgive me Lord, I’m through with livin’ in that land,
Your Word is still the same today and now I understand.

My body is healed by the stripes that Jesus bore.
