They cannot take the cross away or change what happened on that day
Where three men died one lives again, His blood has covered all our sin
Though many choose to walk away, the cross still stands there every day

Oh they can take some nails and wood and make a building where it stood
Plant flowers there and try to hide the place where Jesus bled and died
